BIOGRAPHY
Dr. John Todd is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Auburn University in 1983 and completed his medical degree at the University of South Alabama in 1988. He went on to complete his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, finishing in 1993. In 1994, Dr. Todd completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction at the Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation in Columbus, Georgia. He holds medical licensure in both Alabama and Florida and received his board certification in orthopedic surgery in 1997, along with a specialty certification in sports medicine in 2009.
Dr. Todd currently serves as the Medical Director of The Shoulder Center and is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the Hughston Society. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary, the Alabama Orthopaedic Society, and medical associations in both Alabama and Florida.
