Dr. Ellis is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute at the University of Missouri, where he contributed to groundbreaking research and published articles in leading journals.
To further refine his skills, Dr. Ellis completed a fellowship in Total Joint Arthroplasty at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center. During this fellowship, he gained extensive experience in primary and revision hip and knee replacements, utilizing advanced techniques and technologies.

His passion for orthopedic care is deeply rooted in his desire to improve patients’ quality of life. Whether he’s on the sidelines caring for high school athletes or helping older generations regain mobility by replacing problematic joints, Dr. Ellis finds fulfillment in serving people at every stage of life. It’s this commitment to patient outcomes and life-changing procedures that led him to specialize in joint replacement.
Beyond his medical career, Dr. Ellis cherishes his time with his wife, Callie, and their two children.
